I read in GOOD magazine that listening to TED talks rivals a good college education. Or something to that effect. I heartily agree. Here are my favorites so far:
My #1: Jill Bolte Taylor is a brain scientist who watched herself disintegrate into her true beautiful form as her brain shut down.

My #2: Sir Ken Robinson discusses how our current system of education no longer serves the needs of the planet and our people today ... he's hilarious.

My #3: Brene Brown talks about what we really need to know about living well and joyously ... I wish I saw this in college. It would've made a difference in how I see myself at an earlier age.

My #4: Ray Anderson, my hero. Love this man ... love this man ... love this man...for his brilliance and energy in turning his resource intensive earth-harming carpet company into a planet restoring company.

My #5: Randy Pausch delivers his Last Lecture on how to achieve your childhood dreams. At 47, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and had only 6 months to live. He is an artist in the prime of his craft leaving an indelible mark on the me with his passion for living. Just one of the key learnings he's hammered into my head ... Work Hard, All the time, For what's important.

My #6: Janine Benyus ... Mother Earth and our siblings know best ... about how to live gracefully in this world

My #7: Elizabeth Gilbert on nurturing creativity. It's not just us humans ... don't forget the spirits that nurture us, the ones who help us navigate this world, the invisible Dobby house elfs.

My #8: "People don't buy what you do...they buy why you do it." I need to think about why I buy from certain companies over and over again because if I ever start my own company, it'll have to be for a very good reason, because it definately won't just be about making money.

My #9: Denis Dutton on the Theory of Beauty and why looking into the horizon makes my eyes feel so good.
